The variety of microorganisms is extensive and fascinating. The Petri dish creation allows us to observe nature’s processes of producing unique and unrepeatable patterns, as well as actively participate in their creation. People have repeatedly produced artworks on a nutrient medium, influencing the process of growing bacterias. However, those works represent a symbiosis of intention and chance, caused by the development of living organisms. In turn, as an artist, it was interesting for me to create my own micro-worlds out of more controlled materials. All of them are inspired by various types of microorganisms, but are made in a managed environment using stable materials thus the processes could be reduplicated.
